Model Rocket Wadding
The Model rocket wadding is a flame resistant material used to protect the model rocket from the flames associated with the ejection charge of the model rocket engine. If not used, the parachute, streamer, shock cord, or other rocket component could be damaged by the rocket engine. Care should be taken to not pack the wadding too tightly into the rocket, as this may stifle the ejection charge and not allow the recovery system to be released.
