The rear fuselage may be removed to show a complete GE J-47 jet engine.

"NICE BUT...."

I DECIDED TO START MY KOREAN WAR DISPLAY W/THIS F-86 SABRE & MY FIRST PROBLEM WAS STEP#3 WHICH INVOLVED PUTTING THE ENGINE IN ORDER. THERE WERE 5 SECTIONS & NONE OF THEM FIT WELL TOGETHER SO WHEN I FINISHED EVERYTHING WAS CROOKED AS I GLUED IT INTO 1 SIDE OF THE AIRFRAME. WHEN I TRIED TO FIT THE OTHER 1/2 IT WOULD'NT CLOSE UP PROPERLY SO SOME A LITTLE SURGERY WAS NEEDED ! ONE OF THE HORIZONTAL STABILIZERS WOULD'NT LINE UP EVENLY BECAUSE THE HOLES ON 1 SIDE OF THE AIRFRAME WERE OFF A 1/4 SO I HAD TO DRILL NEW ONES ! LASTLY THE YELLOW STRIPE DECALS NEEDED TO BE TRIMMED TO AVOID OVER-LAPPING ! WHEN ALL WAS SAID & DONE THE SABRE LOOKED NICE BUT I WAS DISSAPOINTED TO SOME DEGREE. A MIG 15 WILL BE NEXT FOR MY KOREAN WAR DISPLAY SINCE THESE 2 JETS WERE INDEED ADVERSARIES !!

This is one of the most detailed, beautifully crafted, easy building planes I have ever had the joy of putting together. For it's size this kit is so highly detailed it's almost unbelievable. The options for building this kit are awesome. You can build this plane with the panels and flaps open or closed, the gun doors open or closed, and even with the fusealage separated revealing the highly detailed jet engine. Also included is a cart for holding the rear of the plane while it is undergoing repair. This kit also has a fairly large decal sheet. This kit is simply a joy to build and a definite must have for any jet plane enthusiast.
