"Good looking model, some instructions a bit vague/wrong"

First off this model when completed looks very good. It comes with 56 spare track links for you to arrange however you see fit which is nice. It also has various space parts for you to place where you see fit, such as a jerry can, two straight towing hooks, a bundled up towing hook, spare wheels, gas cans, etc. This lets you really customize the tank without buying third party accessories. Now, there are some issues, the most glaring one is that the shovel in the diagram is backwards. Don't fall victim to this error. The sprocket also doesn't rotate as well as Tamiya's despite the rubber insert. There are also a lot of gaps in some of the armor and small pieces, and you MUST preplan the schurzen or it will not fit perfectly.

Overall, this is a really good kit. There are a couple of minor set backs, though. The tracks are old and rubber, so they break very easily. If you are looking for replacement tracks, go with 38mm Panzer3/4 tracks. I used spare 40mm tracks and they didn't line up the right way. Also, fitting the upper hull to the lower hull was kinda confusing, but with some patience, you can sort it out. Overall, a pretty good kit and I recommend it!

This Academy 1/35th scale tank is the same great quality of product one would expect from Academy. Along the same series as their Stug IV this model was perhaps a purchase of the dyes from Tamiya as it bares a strong similarity to Tamiya in many ways. Certainly this and other models produced as this one still maintain a fine line of products.
