Acro Lancaster B I(FE)/B III Bomber

This new tool Lancaster kit from Airfix has been available in different boxings - with minor details being different and different decal options. The kit is one of the best engineered kits I have built - the level of detail is on par with kits that are twice as expensive. The parts needed little cleanup and fit well. The engineering of the wings provide a sturdy structure- and have some great wheel well detail. The only gripes I have about the kit are the cockpit side windows being separate parts on both sides - which provided some tense moments when gluing, masking, painting and unmasking - and the landing gear being really well detailed but a bit on the tricky side to get to fit. I used an Eduard interior set on mine - but you can only see it up close, as well as aftermarket decals. This is just a wonderful kit - and I am completely satisfied with my purchase.
