AK interactive Tracks and Wheels is likely the best of the Learning Series line of modeling guides. Following the average, it is printed on 84 pages of glossy [drool resistant] paper with a total of six categories of subject matter. With both tracks and wheels being covered, mud, rust, and dust effects are all extensively covered. AK Interactive's initial Learning Series offering of Realistic Wood Effects suffered from rather poor grammar, but this title fortunately does not fall victim to the same. Like the two previous books, high quality photographs of the author's work are standard. The text is easy to follow, and is well appreciated. While some pictures are self explanatory, clarification is often needed, and it is always provided. All products used are AK's own, but this does not means that other's cannot be substituted in part, or in whole. As a career mechanized Soldier in the Army, I must say that the results the author achieves are truly lifelike and amazing. All skill levels can learn something with this book. Highly recommended.
