This is a great, new production of a classic kit. The molding and part quality are great, very little cleanup required and fit and finish was excellent. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. You can build this kit one of 3 ways...stock, custom and race. Comes with two complete engines, a Ford Flathead and a Chrysler Ram induction. I highly recommend this kit for those of you wanting a bone stock 49 Merc or a racecar. The custom options are nice, but I prefer the Revell chopped coupe's customization options over this kit. Still, it makes for an excellent build. I chose to build the racecar version, but I'm considering ordering another one to build a bone stock model.
