This is a wonderful kit to build! Based on the old Lindberg kit it has been rereleased as a AMT kit with better decal sheet and some extra parts including three hood scoops and chrome front wheels. The kit went together pretty flawlessly. I did make some modifications based on my personal preference. I do not like the wheel assembly of these Lindberg style kits so I added metal axles to my model. The box is stuffed full of parts which is a good thing. Unfortunately this resulted in a cracked front windshield. When searching for a replacement I found that this seems to be fairly common issue with this kit. Enjoy building your version of this model!

"Added parts to the Lindberg tooling kit"

Amt added options to the original tooling kit from Lindberg. You can raise or lower the suspension now. Several hood scoop options. Added torq thrust racing wheels. Most Mopar drag cars were push button automatics in 1964. So the shift buttons are on the dash left of the steering column. Slightly different decals from the Lindberg issue. Since the roof needs to be painted blue you have to mask off that part and paint it. So it will take some modeling skills to build it like the box art. However if you take your time it makes a neat finished model. There are many aftermarket decals to make other drag cars using this kit. Where it gets confusing is depending on the driver and drag class as to whether they ran an automatic or 4 speed.

"Lacking shifter"

There's no floor or column shifter in my kit. Maybe AMT forgot it. But it is a sweet build! So far...
