"Easy Build Good Detail"

Typical of Atlas, the kit builds up easily and has some nice details. I especially appreciate the cross cut saw work bench. If one wants to build multiple kits to have additional racks, the sheds can come in handy elsewhere on the layout. Add some scale lumber to the racks and you can really have an outstanding scene. Four out of five stars, only because you need to add your own lumber.

"Great Kit for for exercising your imagination"

I hadn't built models since I was a kid, but this was easier than I remembered. Now that I'm retired I have plenty of time and patience to follow instructions and enhance kit parts with paints, leftover sawdust, old miniature vehicles I saved through the years and new figures available from HobbyLinc. The instructions are easy to follow and provide interesting scale information to make lumber stock out of real wood using a razor for definition of different sizes of lumber. Besides adding realistic looking lumber it was important to adhere to instructions for painting pieces before assembly. It took a couple of days to get this to look like the Hillside Lumber pictures I added. There is one piece marked 20 that looks like and antique bedwarmer that I saved because it was not in the assembly instructions. Also, the injection mold scrap had a cylinder shaped piece that I painted and hung on the dock wall to look like a fire extinguisher. Hope anyone who purchases this has a much fun and satisfaction as I did.

"Very nice kit"

Atlas kits seem to be under rated, this kit goes together well with minor trimming/flash and has some great details including a cut off saw for cut to order lumber. The open air structure allows many opportunities for custom detailing the scene, but also looks great built as pictured on the box.

"A Perfect Kit"

I built a similar kit by Pola several years ago which closely matches the Atlas kit featured. I found mine to be a great addition to my trackside industry area which was easy to assemble. I retained a bundle of kit lumber and added my own using wood similar to matchsticks that appears to be scale. I highly recommend this kit to anyone that features forested areas on their HO layout.

If you want to stock the storage bays with lumber you will need to purchase the lumber separately----HO SCALE stripwood
