The Patriot was my first real quality airbrush and I have yet to need to get another one. That being said I did get the fine detail needle kit for it (I do not think it is on this site though). Even with the fine detail kit cover large areas is not a problem. Covering a whole tank is not a problem. One of my favorite aspects of this airbrush is how easy disassembly is making cleaning a breeze. The action is smooth and easy to control. There is the ability to adjust tension if you wish. I can get really fine detail when I need to. Thin lines are not a problem and really fantastic free hand camouflage schemes are achievable. However, keep in mind the fine detail kit helps a lot. Also, you have to thin the paint properly. I have had this brush for about 2 years now and it has been going strong the whole time. Great for a first airbrush!

"Great all around airbrush"

I have been using a Patriot for about two years now. I also own a Badger Krome, but I fine myself using the Patriot to lay down primer and clear coating. I think it works better then the Krome for wider area coverage. Be careful with the needle since these is no guards at the tip. I have bent one already, but that is my fault. Badger airbrushes are so well made and work perfectly. You will not be sorry for buying this or any of their airbrushes. Plus they have great customer service for any problems you might have. Anytime you can get this airbrush for under $100, it is a deal.

I just purchased the patriot a few weeks ago and it has already become my favorite airbrush. it is a very versatile brush for detail work as well as for larger projects.it is so much easier to clean than other brands i have used.i really recommend this air brush for anyone wanting a dual action airbrush that will perform consistantly every time you use

I purchased this item to step up my airbrushing game. Did not disappoint one bit. Easy tear down for cleaning and great finish. Does really well for detail work or broader brushing. Highly recommend buying the quick connect to go along with this excellent product!
