Monogram's 1980s 1/48 scale fighters set the bar for scale models at the time, and are still great values for Cold War aviation modelers. In 1991, Monogram took their terrific 1/48 F-101B and reduced it to 1/72 scale to make this kit, giving it a parts count and detail unusual for that scale. The kit was out of production till recently, and was commanding high prices on internet sites, so it is good to see it available again. The engineering, details, fit, finish, and shape are all great, and if a modeler proceeds carefully in assembling the large number of parts, a gorgeous Voodoo will be the result.
