This kit has some beautiful, fine surface detail molded in, but I was concerned that much of that detail would be completely covered by primer and paint. I decided to keep my kit in the molded color, and to highlight the molded detail with a gunk-wash of undiluted oil paint. I think it came out rather well, considering the model is still the factory plastic color. Please keep in mind that Bandai's plastic reacts badly to white spirit-based paints like enamel washes, I recommend using either acrylic washes or undiluted oil paints for highlighting surface details.
