This is an awesome kit of the 1968 Corvette convertible. Revell first released it in the late 1980’s; it was great then and it’s great now. One big-block engine is included with a stock Holley carb. An extra sprue of chrome parts has a high-manifold blower as seen on the box top. Stock and custom wheel rims are supplied along with two exhaust options; stock mufflers and side pipes. The stock hood has a recessed cutout underneath to modify it for the blower option. The other hood is a nice induction version. The taillights are particularly nice, with chrome bezels surrounding clear red lenses. A standard ragtop and hardtop provide alternatives to the open top. The kit depicts a race machine with a flat plate depicting the radio-delete option in the interior. Details are crisp and fit of parts is much better than average. Chassis and suspension details capture well the essence of the Corvette’s innovative engineering. Build this model and you’ll want to own a real one. While you save up your money, have fun building a few of these.
