This kit has been around since the original Star Trek series. There are better-fitting, more accurate and more detailed versions of the Starship Enterprise out there, but this is the classic version fondly remembered by generations of modelers. This latest edition has it all! The previous issue included a smooth upper saucer section, eliminating the need to sand off a heavily-raised grid pattern. This improvement is there along with the huge decal sheet allowing the modeler to build many versions of the ship with correct markings (including Defiant and Enterprise, of course). This version is molded in light green glow-in-the-dark plastic to model the Defiant, which disappeared into an alternate universe after glowing a mysterious green in “The Tholian Web” classic episode. This edition of the kit adds two Tholian web-spinner ships. These are simple and small, but add some fun diorama possibilities. A nicely printed cardboard backdrop completes the scene with the Tholian Web pattern just like the show. This is a great kit with tons of possibilities and is heartily recommended by this modeler!
