Like other books in the Walk-Around series, this is almost solely a pictorial reference; if you want a history of the type, look for another book. That said, this is a great resource for someone planning on detailing a B-26 build.

There are plenty of photo collections online of the surviving museum piece Marauders, but what almost all of them are lacking is interior shots. Fortunately, this Squadron book has tons of interior shots of almost all of the featured aircraft. Every internal space of interest to modelers is covered, from the cockpit and bombardier's stations, wheel bays, radio/navigator's room, bomb bay, and gunners' stations. My only main complaint is that all the reference photos are of late-model or restored aircraft, which are either left in bare aluminum, or painted entirely Interior Green. The unrestored Flak Bait in the Smithsonian shows that early B-26s, at least, were a confusing hodgepodge of colors inside, and that chromate primers were rarely used by Martin. Unfortunately, there are no interior shots of Flak Bait included in the book, but some great pictures of the nose art.
