Item number JTP97460 painted and completed. I will describe my process in the following photos. This would be a good product for depicting a bombarded area that generally has consistent crater sizes.

The base product right out of the package. I do not apply any type of primer before I start painting it.

To start the process I apply a thick layer of Tamiya Red Brown spray paint. After that dries I apply a thin, uneven, layer of Tamiya Dark Green spray paint. After that dries I apply a dusting of Tamiya Dark Yellow spray paint. Here is the product to this point.

Here I have applied by brush Tamiya Nato Brown to the inside of the crater and Tamiya Flat Earth to the outside of the crater. This provides a nice base for the finished product.

Here I have begun the dry brushing process. I use a #2 shading brush from here on out. I use a moderate amount of paint on the brush with a moderate amount of pressure. Start out light on the brush until some of the paint comes off, then increase the pressure. I use Tamiya Buff for this step.

Continuing the dry brushing I am using Tamiya Deck Tan for this step. I used a little less paint an a little less pressure than on the previous step. The blending seems to be really coming together here.

Finishing the dry brushing process I am using Tamiya Medium Grey, which actually has a little bit of a green tint to it. I use a light amount of paint and a light touch on the brush, using more strokes. The blending really seemed to come together here.
