Notice the edges. Any nub that touches the edges will do that, which is TERRIBLE because the sanding motion will inevitably cause the edge to grind onto the nub.

More rips and grinding out of the stick. Notice how the bottom stick is whiter. That's because the grit layer is grinding away. The bottom stick is basically smooth on one side.
