"Jungle tank. Semper Fi!"

Amazing kit with options for duckbill or regular tracks, 2 different Commander's hatch styles, and suspension/wheel options. Nice photoetch set, particularly the front fenders. Wooden plank armor is included, used to defeat the magnetic mines/bombs of the Imperial Japanese Army. Actual metal tow cable adds realism. This was my first 1/35 tank and I am very happy with it. No real assembly problems but the rubber band tracks lack the sag of real links. Still, looks pretty good in my opinion. Painted with Tamiya TS-28 Olive Drab 2 (to differentiate my USMC equipment from US Army models in TS-5 Olive Drab), and weathered with Tamiya Panel Line Accent Color (Black). The end result was semi gloss, but looked so good I chose not to flat coat - resembles a wet tank in the humid jungles. Used flat black for the tracks and #2 pencil on the high portions that would be more bare metal. Overall an awesome kit and great assembly. The only issue was me putting a serial number decal on crooked. Contacted Dragon but received zero support. Ultimately I ordered Archer Fine Transfers AR77043W and AR77044W letters and numbers, resprayed the offending panel, reweathered and then cut and applied each individual letter and number. The 0.120 letters were a little larger than OEM but turned out great (Archer Decals are left side of tank in my gallery)! Do recommend, especially if you are a fan of Marine equipment.

"Good example of a Marine Sherman"

This kit has different options. It's a good build with lots of detail. It also has lots of small parts so don't rush. I enjoyed it.

"Nice Sherman kit!"

This was a very and easy kit to build! It was a little challenge at some areas, but over all, it was very fun to build! I highly recommend this kit for all intermediate model builders!

"Nice model, well done."

This is a nice kit. More parts to deal with than Tamiya kits but the end result is a very detailed model. I love the one piece track links. No flash or trimming required, and to me they look just as good as single link tracks without the fuss. The wood side plank armor is nice, it has wood grain already etched and bolts molded on. I re-etched the wood grain with an x-acto knife to add detail. You have to be careful with the commander's cupola to make sure it is oriented correctly. You can attach it rotated to any position, so refer to pics for the way it's supposed to be.
