Fw-190D-9 (Profi-Pack)

This was an alright build, it was one of my favorite subjects but the kit was somewhat disappointing. The main problem is the fit, Eduard designed this kit to be completed with the hatches open meaning the top machine gun covers and the ones in the wings. However some people prefer to leave them closed for a more streamlined look. This is where the fit issues come into play. Everything has to be aligned perfectly or else it won't look right. The top machine gun cover seems to be molded poorly and does not fit flush with the fuselage. This is fine if the cover is going to be posed open but if closed some slight bending is required to get it to sit properly. However, the cockpit detail is excellent and includes many photoetch parts. I highly recommend getting a head magnifier to make assembly easier, you'll need it. The plastic is somewhat soft so care will be needed when cutting delicate parts like antennas and what not. It makes into a nice subject and the decals are good quality. But the main kicker was the fit issues, but I think it can be made into a nice subject if one is patient and dry fits everything several times before gluing into place.
