"Mini Jetliner better on 18mm engine mount."
danomite45
The instant I saw the Estes Jetliner I just had to have one. This probably should be a skill level 2 kit as there is a few extra steps. The main wing is cut out for the engine tab, which makes alignment a breeze. Also pay attention to aligning the wing to be straight with the body tube. I thought this kit would be a little underpowered with mini engines, so in installed an 18mm engine mount. Turns out the first flight with an A8-3 was indeed underpowered and the rocket crash landed before deployment. A B6-4 was a perfectly straight flight to about 300 feet. I also added Alaska Airlines decals to the kit. Now I need to buy another one so I can turn it into a Delta Airlines Jetliner.

"Jetliner Mini, is there a Jetliner Jumbo?"
champfluff
The Jetliner Mini is under powered with the Mini Engines available, so I will be adding an 18mm motor mount and tail cone, plus I will be scratch building a Jetliner Jumbo out of BT-80 and associated parts, 4 jet motors and a tail cone, plus Airbus decals and 24mm motor mount. These 'OddRocs' will be my next build.

"Needs more oomph"

Neat looking rocket, but it really needs a bigger motor. the A10-3T I put in it barely got it above 50 feet and the 3 second delay alowed it to nose into the ground before deployment. Easily repaired. I'm building another one with a bigger motor mount.
