"Screamer!"

Talk about a screamer... the magician is quick off the pad on an E9-6... I highly recommend getting rid of the stock shock cord and using an extra long piece of elastic (4-5') to protect the balsa transition cone though

"great rocket"

Rocket was easy to build and entertaining. Again you can use your own paint colors and have a great looking rocket.Great for small payloads like a small dv camera. Can't Wait to launch

Definitely fly this beast with E engines...it will be worth the extra cost. Fun build, strong flier, smooth recovery. Just be cautious about the mid-level winds...it was calm at ground level, but at apogee, the winds were moving. First launch had mine float about a 1/2 mile from launch point, almost landing on the roof of a school.

First of all, the E BP motor power is great, but not enough, for me. So leave out the engine block, adding an Estes 24mm Motor Retainer, part number 9751 and a simple sanding to mod this retainer to fit flush with the BT-55. Add a BT-50 Airframe Strengthener Tube, lengthen the BT-50, for 3 Grain 24mm Cases. Slot the BT-55, for the redrawn fins, for through tube extensions, to the motor mount tube. Laminate the, redrawn balsa, fins, with C/A adhesive and plain printer paper. Install an ejection baffle, swap over the stock shock cord, with braided nylon 4 times the length of the rocket and parachute to nylon. Add nose weight and get a GPS tracker, when using HP 2&3 Grain 24mm motors and less chance of exploding with composite motors.
