The instructions aren't very clear but after several days of studying the parts, this was assembled in just one Saturday afternoon. I chose to leave off the grab irons for 2 reasons, one being they're too small to handle and two, it's N scale so sitting on a layout you really wont notice them not there. Overall I'm happy with the results. I'll possibly purchase another to place somewhere else on the layout.

This kit is very easy to assemble using the included closed claw. If greater detail is desired parts are also included to stage the claw handling a load.
