This book covers pretty much anything you'd like to know about the Tigercat; the first section is written by Grumman test pilot Corky Meyer, and covers development and flying characteristics from the man who lived the process. In the middle is a discussion of every single variant of the F7F, as well as several diagrams of access panels and major systems, and black-and-white cockpit photos. Next comes a breakdown of the type's service history with every unit which flew it; this section has tons of photographs of unit markings, and is an especially good resource. There is a section on surviving warbirds, as well. Rounding out the book is a discussion of available kits and conversion sets, as of the book's publication in 2007. There are also handy 1/72 scale plans and drawings scattered throughout the book, a nice touch. In short, this book has basically everything you need to know about the Tigercat, only one of the finest piston-engined fighters ever built.
