"simple but nice"
pamason (Entiat, WA)
This in a very simple plane to bulid but little detale the cockpit has no detale to but comes with a pliot. The cockpit canopy is only in closed setting the landing gear is best showen down but leave the tires out and the landing gear can be showen up. The parts fit well and decals are easy to place. It looks weard but the tanks on the plane were standerd so i place them. A good plane for any modler.

"loved it"

in real life this was one fast fighter, mach 2, with some unusual configurations. I really enjoyed this build , easy but with some nice touches. comes with 2 missiles and 2 above wing fuel tanks. can build with or without the tanks, if you choose without , there will be holes on top of the wings to fill. I choose with. not much of a cockpit and the main gear are extremely weak. nice decals for two options. it took more time than I thought it would. came out looking good. highly recommended.

"Old mould, again, but not that bad!"

This is one of the strangest airplanes. The first supersonic British airplane. The vertical stack of engines was not common, but even though it was fast. The landing gear folded into the extra thin wings, which forced to develop a very thin tire that could handle the high speed. Even if in this kit we may clearly see that no way for the gear to fit in the wing, it is something we can live with. I built mine without the upper fuel tanks, and it does look better! In fact, it looks as fast as it was, and it has a special place in our collection. For history, it should be kept. as a model, with incomon features it should be bought. However... there is low detail on the exaust nozzles, you may need to do a tube with paper to put in there, and perhaps drill a little on the front, but not that much. only those small changes, and from a toy kit, looks like a professional model.

I am not a fan of raised panel lines. The argument can be made that the raised lines can be etched out for an accurate look. I don't mind doing some inscribing but I can't be bothered to carve out the entire model. I would sooner take up whittling instead. The kit does look fairly good even with the blind eye turned to detail. The landing gear bays and cockpit have almost no detail to them. I will probably still build this kit in a simple and robust way. I will heavily seal the paint job, model with wheels up and sharp appendages omitted. I will then give it to my kid cousin to play with with the rest of his toys. I'll probably practice some pinning of parts and puddying up weak points with this kit. Don't get me wrong, It is not a bad kit for the price it is just not very detailed out of the box and I am unwilling to spend time and money to purchase upgrades.
