Brewery Kit

The castings are nice, with nice detail. There's very little flash. There's a LOT of building. But there's one huge flaw, that you may or may not be able to live with. This is not an N scale kit. This is an HO kit with an extra set of N scale doors that fit into the HO scale doorways. The windows are huge, the spacing between floors is huge, and the building overpowers any space it's placed in. If not for the extra N scale doors this kit would be a big zero. I wouldn't have realized there were N scale doors had I not looked at every piece in the kit. It was to be placed at the end of an industrial area that is populated with other large buildings...Walther's furniture factory, printing company, hardware supply, etc. This building is larger those large buildings. It's otherwise a good looking kit, but maybe we're going to have to put it by itself somewhere else on the layout. Oh, another thing. Don't bother looking for directions. There aren't any. This is not a beginner's kit. Overall though, it's a nice looking building that begs for paint and weathering. I'd recommend it if you have the space.

Thanks Hobbylinc for your service. I just purchase the N scale kit HLJ678, brewery. This kit is clean, all part are flat, looks like it is going be easy to assemble and the details are very nice. I'm going to model the old Lemp Brewery grounds in Saint Louis, Missouri.
