AMX 30/105 French Tank

This is a typical Heller kit with old mouldings, while most parts are ok, some are very awful. The AMX-30 was an important French MBT from mid 60s to the 2000s, and this is your only option available in 1/72. While the main body and the turret are generally well made, it has a low level of detail. There are no turret rails, the smoke launchers deserve to be cylindrical, the connection between the turret and the mantlet is incomplete and awful, it needs hard work to look decent. Then by far, the worst issue of this kit are the tracks, probably the worst ones i have ever seen. In the end, with a lot of work, it can look very nice, but keep your eyes away of the tracks...no magic possible there. I recommend this one only if you are making a Cold War collection and for people who loves challenges.
