The three ships that are included in this kit give the modeler a wonderful experience in building historical ship models. The plastic parts are molded well and assemble with little trouble. The real challenge in this kit is the rigging. These are not your typical 19th century sailing ships with rigging that many of us are familiar with. After much thought I eventually chose to do most of the rigging prior to installing the masts on the ships. For more realism I added sailor figures from the 15th century and extra ropes and cargo on the decks. I normally use Tamiya's flat acrylic paints on the ships that I build and also give the wood and sails a weathered look using Testors weathering acrylic paints. I thoroughly enjoyed working on these ships and look forward to my next project, the Bounty.
