Morser Karl-Gerat 040

The German Morser Karl-Gerat was a self-propelled 60cm siege mortar, although only 7 were built, it is a very interesting war machine from WW2. The kit can be built in two variants: Gerat 040 with a short barrel, or the Gerat 041 with a much longer one (both are built in only transport position and not in the firing position). The kit has approx. 190 small and large parts, so the construction process takes time, but everything fits almost perfectly. Every part is with a very nice Level of detail. The tracks are made of rubber and are very nicely detailed. The construction instructions are very clear. The decals are very well made. However, the painting variant shown in the color instructions, only applies to one(Ziu), the other 3 possible ones are not explained at all. Great Kit from Hobby Boss.
