Description This is a 1/350th Plastic Clipper Ship Cutty Sark from Academy Plastics. It's for ages 10 and up.
Facts The Cutty Sark is one of the most famous of the old clipper ships; fast sailing vessels used for transporting goods from the Orient and built during the nineteenth century. The Cutty Sark is the sole survivor of these great ships and is now a museum in London. Clippers were very sharp and narrow, making them the fastest ships on the sea. Because they were so fast, owners could charge premium prices for delivering cargo quickly.
Features Plastic pieces attached to sprues and molded in brown and white.
Finely engraved hull and deck detail simulates copper plating and wood texture. All parts are precision injection molded including billowing sails and ratlines. Molded in two colors to minimize painting. Life boats are provided in the event the ship begins to sink. Simple thread rig lines are included. Display stand base and name plate included.
