- These 5' pieces of track can endure the heaviest of locomotives as well as human weight.
- The brass rails run along molded plastic railroad ties and are both durable and functional.
- Railroad ties are black with realistic wood grain detail.
- An ultra-violet protectant is used to stabilize the plastic track ties from the effect of strong sunlight.
- Each track section may be permanently joined to adjacent track sections.
- There are two screws, within a tie, that provide for a firmer connection without soldering.
