Mustang Mk IV Fighter

This is one of the best 1/48th scale Mustangs out there. There are two different props (cuffed and uncuffed) different carburetor intakes (louvered and perforated) two types of filleted vertical stabilizers and best of all, a correctly shaped wheel well that goes back to the main wing spar as it should. The flight control surfaces are separately molded and there are two sets of flaps (down and retracted). My kit had no flash and no molding errors and the panel lines, rivets and other surface details are reasonably fine and will show nicely under paint and a wash. The cockpit is nicely detailed and uses a decal for the instrument faces so you can paint the panel and add the gage faces afterwards. This kit is a very good value for the money and gives more options than some similarly priced kits in this scale. I finished my model as Colonel John D. Landers Big Beautiful Doll with decals pirated from the Revell/Monogram kit.
