Features Houses of this style were built throughout the country between 1880 and WWI and many remain today. The prototype in Livingston Manor, NY was built in 1884 for A.P. Dubois, a successful merchant. The house sat adjacent to the railroad tracks and across the street from the family store. It remained the family home for many years and still stands, beautifully restored, a survivor from an earlier era.
