I have a few of these old time box cars. (Known as House cars back in the day) These are neat little cars that fit best in an 1860s era layout, but these cars could also be seen on railroads into the early 1870s. Although not super detailed these cars can fill out a fright roster easily and are great bases for kitbashing.
However the trucks are incorrect for this type of car. The trucks are based on passenger car prototypes rather than Arch Bar trucks, which would be more accurate. Also the couplers are truck mounted, which means that they can take a tighter turn, but lack realism. But modifying the car for body mounted couplers is not difficult.
