Works much like old Pactra products
I build model rockets and have for years. Most use balsa or basswood which needs sealing. I used to use Pactra sanding sealer but Pactra had closed long ago so I needed something else. I picked up this and gave it a shot on some rocket projects. It works about like the old Pactra model airplane sealer but without the noxious odor and with easy water cleanup. My recent three rockets had a lot of balsa and with two or three coats I had that balsa nicely sealed and ready for paint. With what's currently available to seal wood I would recommend this. It also covers easily and you actually don't use too much. Three rockets so far and I still have over 75% of it remaining.
It's a great replacement for AeroGloss Balsa Fillercoat and Sanding Sealer.
I'm impressed! The first coat raises the grain a bit like the old AeroGloss Balsa Fillercoat; a few swipes of 220 sandpaper
and the part is smooth... Of course, depending upon the grain, 1 or more extra coats may be required. I plan to get more.
