- These modern coal gondolas have been in service for years hauling coal for their owners and operators. They're usually operated in long unit trains between mines and power generating stations. The models feature detailed, injection-molded plastic bodies painted in realistic railroad and power company paint schemes and diecast weights for reliable operation.
- The cars are offered individually and in multi-packs so you can run many in a train, each with a different roadnumber. Cars accept the Twin Tub Coal Gondola Detailing Kit 238-990502 (sold separately) which includes interior braces for empty cars. Coal loads for these cars are also available in 3- and 10-packs (sold separately).
