RoadRailers(R) are highway trailers designed to operate on rails without a flat car to carry them. They're operated in solid trains up to 125 cars long on freight railroads. Amtrak also uses them to haul mail and express traffic on the rear of its passenger trains.
The models feature detailed, injection-molded plastic bodies with realistic painting and printing. Each car trailer includes parts that allow you to simulate rail or highway use. Coupler Mate bogies, 238-180000 (sold separately), provide the interface between your locomotive and the RoadRailers; they come equipped with AccuMate(R) knuckle couplers. 10-Packs include one Coupler Mate bogie.
