The Duncan Butterfly is an very good quality yo-yo for beginner to start learning their tricks and get better, it's definitely a beginner yo-yo because the balance is off a hair, but that doesn't matter for the beginners because they won't be doing amazing tricks right away, so if your going to get it for yourself or for a gift for a beginner I would highly suggest it.
