Patriarch Model Rocket

I picked a Patriarch up at a local big box store on close out because the deal was too good to pass up. Construction was fairly simple; open the box and pull the rocket out of the bag, then put the nose cone into the body tube. Done. Not bad looking for a pre-finished RTF bird, and it flies nicely on a B6-4 at B6-4 Field, always a huge consideration for me. Don't expect more than a few flights out of the recovery system. For a change the elastic is long enough, but it is mounted deep in the body tube, just over the forward end of the fin can. I made sure to tamp the recovery wadding deep in the tube, but after one flight it still shows a fair amount of damage from the ejection charge. I'm seriously thinking of giving in to the inevitable and cutting the shock cord, then reattaching it with the old tried and true Estes tri fold mount further up on the body tube.
