1/72 E-2C Hawkeye

This is a Plastic 1/72 E-2C Hawkeye Aircraft from Heller. It's recommended for modelers ages 8 and over.

Designed by Grumman in 1957 to carry out surveillance fuctions in totally autonomous fashion from aircraft carriers, the E-2 Hawkeye has continued to evolve. Without doubt the most complex of existing onboard aircraft, its generous dimensions do not prevent it being able to enter aircraft carrier hangars, with its wings folded laterally on each side of the fuselage. Its operational heart is really its radar, linked with one of the most rapid computers. The most developed version, the E-2C, appeared in 1970.
