1/400 U-Boat VII C

This is a 1/400 Plastic Assembly Kit for the U-Boat (Unterseeboot) Type VIIC from Heller.

The Type VII U-Boats, under the command of Admiral Doenitz, were the principle German weapons in the Battle of the Atlantic. In this battle, Germany hoped to cut off the convoy supply lines to Great Britain and force the British to sue for peace. The U-Boats caused great havoc to the Atlantic convoys during the early years of WWII, but by the end of 1943, they were outnumbered and outgunned. The Type VII submarines were eventually to be replaced by the vastly superior Type XXI's but these became available only in the last months of the war - too late to make a difference.

1/400th scale for static display.
34 parts in light grey plastic.
Full hull with detailed propellers and rudder.
Detailed conning tower - Optional parts for early Type VIIB conning tower.
Simple display stand included.
