1/700 U.S.S. Alabama

This 1/700 Plastic U.S.A. Battleship "Alabama" is an Assembly Kit from the Hasegawa Water Line Series. Recommended for Modelers Age 10 and Older.

The Alabama was the new type U.S. battleship which was active during the Pacific War. She was the last of the South Dakota type battleship, which was the 2nd class built after the suspension of building warships according to the two treaties of Washington/London. Originally, it was planned to be the same as the previous North Carolina Type, but since the main cannon was changed from 14 inches to 16 inches during construction, the plan was modified after completion of the South Dakota, and the Alabama was built as another class.
