WWII Opel Blitz S Cargo Truck

This is an old model, that according to a timeline that I found online has been around since the mid 70's. Whether or not this was the case with this particular kit, I don't know. The kit I worked with could have been forty or more years old, who knows, I bought it on auction. I like the model, it's a great addition to any diorama. When first assembling the model, everything was a very good fit. There were holes and slots to insure correct assembly, and everything was a good fit, with the exception of the roof of the cab. I had to use a filler to close the gaps, where there wasn't the best of fits. There were no holes or slots for fixing the accessories to the truck, only pictures of where they were supposed to mount. This is an idea I have never liked. Give me proper attaching aids. There were also pieces that required holes to be drilled for mounting. Another idea I've never liked. The worst part about this kit; however, was how flimsy the material was. it was so flimsy, that several of the parts had warped on the sprues, making for an uneasy assembly. Regardless of how gently I tried to remove parts from the sprue, many of the pieces broke. I would recommend this kit, if you are an experienced modeler, and not like my self, just a hobbyist.
