Brass Rod To Stop Sag
Building the old AMT 1/537 scale Enterprise I needed a material to keep the Nacelles from sagging over time. The space in the pylons is very limited trying to place wiring and something to keep the nacelles in place. The 1/16 diameter brass rod is the perfect solution. There is enough plastic on the parts to hollow out a small channel to run the rod in the pylon into the engineering section of the Enterprise. Cutting a small section of rod and welding it to the two rods from the nacelle will hold them in place. Once you have the rods welded you need to secure them to the engineering hull with super glue. An excellent product for enhancing the structural integrity of parts you know will sag over years of display.
Good for 1/50 customs
This is good if you want to make a 1/50 scale custom. It is perfect for reattaching the boom and stick. Also if you want to make any other custom that will look cool this brass rod with work.
