Great Station
By: bruce_wvguy
Always liked Life-Like building kits, now-a-days its a subtle reminder of home, Maryland now that I live in Florida! This model is based on Ball'more Engine Co 33 Gorsuch Ave station.
Overall it is a fantastic model that captures a stations look n feel. There is one major oversight in its molding; the rear and side edges of the top-most section of the front facade has no details. The corner angle goes all the way to the top and the back part has tooling and injection remnants, no brick pattern. For me the side doors with the round portals are out of scale.. the molded on push bars are at about a N Scale persons shoulders/head.
Assembling with patience and a little painting can result in a great model!
where's the fire?

i bought this kit along with the model power police station and they are both nice kit's. no flash. great detail, and a must for every town. even come's with tiny fire fighting tool's. you will need good eye's and tweezer's to hang them on the wall. this kit along with the police station make a handsome pair.
Upgrade from my Imex Firehouse

Strait forward assembly with well labeled parts. The finished product is an authentic looking firehouse. The kit does not require painting but the color did not seem right to me so I painted it red. One thing to be aware of is that the building is assembled on a plate which has to be incorporated.
Very Detailed

Very detailed N Scale Fire Station. A little difficult to assemble and instructions could have been a little better but the finished product is worth the price and effort. The building colors were not exactly as shown so I painted the walls on mine.
It’s okay

It looks okay once painted and assembled. The lamp post is a joke so I didn’t bother putting that on. My kit was also missing the base (or whatever it is) for the siren on the roof. The window frames are a bit bulky. It’ll do.
