1/16 '31 Ford High Boy A-V8 Roadster

This is a 1/16 Scale 1931 Ford "Hi-Boy" Roadster Plastic Model Kit from Minichamps Models.

Most likely, a Hi-Boy roadster of this nature was trailered to Rosamond Dry Lake for its run through the timing traps. Without mufflers and other mandated pieces of equipment, these roadsters were not usually seen on the city streets or highways, but on weekend nights, enough informal drag race courses could be found, if you knew where to look.

Plastic pieces are attached to sprue trees.
Body pieces are molded in grey.
Clear pieces for windshield and light lenses are included.
Chrome pieces include trim, grille, headlights, engine and rear bumper.
Opening hood that reveals a very detailed Mercury flat head engine with Edelbrock heads, Stromberg carburetors and Hedman headers.
Dropped front axle, Halibrand quick-change rear end and hydraulic brakes.
Detailed interior.
Chrome reverse dish wheels with wide whitewall treaded tires.
Waterslide decals include red, orange, yellow and white flames and three different California license plates.
Clear pictorial instructions.
