1966 Joker from Batman TV Series

Like many of you, I’ve built all of the available figures from the 60’s television show “Batman”. Last year The Riddler came out, and The Joker was supposed to be out by the end of the year. We had to wait almost 9 months for it to be released, and it was worth the wait. The figure looks like Cesar Romero, who played The Joker. The pieces fit together with no effort, and no extra flash to remove. Their are 2 options in this kit. Either his hands are clasped together, or separated with the option of putting joy buzzers in his hands. I chose the hands together because I felt it looks like he’s thinki of something to do to Batman. Also, I didn’t think the joy buzzers would look right just painted silver. The instructions for painting the kit is complete, but thereis a problem with it. The instructions call for his jacket,vest, gloves, and pants to be painted deep mauve. I painted them a medium purple. They also call for black stripes on the pants, which are impossible to paint, and no decals are included for them. I bought 2 1/64 inch black pinstriping tape. It took a lot of extra effort, but it was worth it. Now I need the Batgirl figure to complete the set. They haven’t set a date yet as to when this kit would be coming out, so I hope it isn’t as long as it took to release this kit.

This was the sixth kit in the Moebius 1960s TV Batman series. It is excellent quality with a good likeness of Romero. I did paint pinstripes on the pants using tape and a Sharpie and that was a job. It fits right in with the set when completed.
