1978 Batman Joker Goon Car, Dodge Monaco

This kit has been released as different types of police cars over the years. It can be built three ways as either the goon car, police car or stock. You do receive a nice set of Gotham style decals and a cool resin Joker figurine with the kit. The model itself has some issues with fit. My model had a warped hood and windshield cowl area. The glass is one piece that I had to cut into two sections to fit properly. The interior is basic and had rather large mold sink marks. The interior does come with a lot of police accessories as extras and a molded in floor mounted dimmer switch. That is something you don't see to often. Round 2 could really improve this kit by creating a new chassis for this car that fits correctly and also has dual exhaust. The stock engine bay has large gaps that I corrected by adding extra styrene. I also added extra styrene on the sides of the chassis to help with the fit. It comes with a single exhaust but I was able to shave part of it off and then duplicate it on the other side for duals. The model comes with large wheels and tires. The kit has it challenges but I did enjoy making a nice model out it. It is great to have a four door model available to build. Have fun building your model.
