This power pack is great. The power range is wonderful and controls my equipment the best. I would recommend this product to anyone who is still on this type of control.

Powerful transformer for my N guage and OO guage - excellent low throttle response (20 - 30 % power) locos crawl along and great top end speed .More than enough power for the accessories I add (mostly lights )Those are the pros , I really have nothing detrimental to say about this product . I have a few older Model Tech transformers and it seems they get better with each model . I am very pleased with this purchase

I am using my new Ampac 780 Tech 7 right now. I can fully confirm that this is a really nice unit and worth the price. I used to have a Duelpack 2-cab AC controller, which was technology out of the 70-80's, and wow things have improved! The Tech 7 really does give you the capability to make your motors crawl at super slow realistic speeds, or race super fast. I also really like the screw panel, were you hook up wires from the track to the controller. It's hard to explain, but I'll try: There's a piece of metal that makes it easier to hook up your wires. Usually, the tightening action of screwing down the screw to make connection with the track wire pushes the wire out from under the screw - but this little piece of metal keeps your wire in place as you tighten.
