- At present, the US Army Reserve has two active Railway Operations Battalions whose primary mission is handling ammunition and supplies at bases and port facilities. This set includes lettering for the low-nose Geeps currently assigned to the 1205th Transportation Railway Operating Battalion (United States Army Reserve), with headquarters at Middletown, Connecticut. These eye-catching prototypes, #4601 (nicknamed "Pops" in honor of Walter "Pops" Lavender who passed away on active duty with the unit during Desert Storm) and #4602 are finished in red with yellow UNITED STATES ARMY lettering and "scare stripes." The set also includes a variety of special markings including the small Transportation Corps logos and larger Army Reserve markings that are also used on some engines.
