These are the most convincing coal loads I've come across. They glitter like black diamonds, which is where the term came from. They drop right in to the Caswell drop bottom gondolas, where I use them as a part of the consist for a WWII coal train headed up by a Santa Fe, Baldwin built 2-8-8-2 Y3b. Be careful handling them because it is very easy to chip the paint leaving a white spot behind. Easy enough to touch up but it's better not to get to that place to begin with. I have several other coal loads from Motrak for some Intermountain 2 bay offset hoppers and some Proto 2000 war emergency hoppers. These loads really set the train off and I'm glad I bought them. I also have two wood chip loads from Motrak with the same high quality detail for some Exact Rail wood chip gons. Highly recommendable and you'll definitely get your money's worth.
