|
Features Relive the glory days of railroading with this line of detailed locos. Models are offered in DCC versions with LokSound for use with DCC systems or DC layouts (requires separate controller to activate sounds) or without sound for DC only. All engines feature a powerful five-pole can motor with flywheel/s, plus exceptional weight for pulling power; an optional traction tire-equipped driver is also included. Models are detailed, painted and lettered to match specific prototypes, and feature working headlight and back-up light, where applicable. Operating Kadee couplers are standard. Engines equipped with LokSound combine silent running decoders with a super high output amplifier, and adjustable volume for synchronized chuff, whistle, bell, squealing brakes, flange squeal, Doppler effect and air let off (in neutral). The system also features load dependent sound, 8Mbit of memory to handle complex sounds, and four-channel sound. New 20-function mapping lets you create custom sound and function operations, and units are compatible with LokSound Programmer for PC control, upgrades or adding custom sounds. Load compensation, switcher mode and Dynamic Drive Control features are also included.
Sets include powered A and B units with sound and DCC. B units operate only with lead unit. Several Precision Craft diesel locomotives are offered as Lashed-Up or Lashup. These are multi-unit consists (A unit/B unit) in which the lead unit and trailing unit are tethered together via a user-detachable electrical connector. The electrical connection is required for operation of the second unit, but lead units may be operated by themselves. The electrical tether can be unplugged for transport or storage. Related Items
